Biography
Dr. Jewell has been at Â鶹Դ´ State since 2015 and regularly teaching Cell Biology, Immunology, Microbiology Lecture and Laboratory courses. Currently, Dr. Jewell serves as director of a $2 Million dollar National Science Foundation (NSF) S-STEM funded Mentoring to Accelerate Retention and Change Outcomes in Science (MARCOS) Scholar Program. The MARCOS Program provides scholarships for low income STEM students interested in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Psychology. Students are eligible for up to $15,000 scholarships, based on their unmet financial need determined by FASFA, access to dedicated faculty mentors, professional development, social opportunities, and blocked STEM courses.
