Dr. Martini received his B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University, a B.A. in Psychology from Saginaw Valley State University, and both his M.A. and Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Social Psychology from the University of Âé¶¹Ô´´, Reno. He is a first-generation college student who grew up in rural Michigan and returns frequently. He is passionate about research methods and statistics and loves helping students grow and stretch by engaging in their own research projects.
Research Interests: Dr. Martini’s research rest largely at the intersection of identity and well-being. He works predominantly in the areas of LGBT population health and rehabilitative court diversion programs (e.g. drug courts). He has also done work in the areas of identity formation and change, public opinion, and attitudes. Dr. Martini engages in research with students both within and outside his own research interests.
