Dr. Patricia Nill is a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and serves as a Senior Lecturer and Clinical Instructor at Âé¶¹Ô´´. She is a doctoral-prepared nurse educator with extensive clinical nursing experience and a strong background in higher education, committed to preparing compassionate, reflective, and clinically grounded nurses. She brings a broad clinical background to her teaching, including experience across acute care and specialty nursing settings.
Dr. Nill’s teaching and scholarship are grounded in Psychiatric–Mental Health Nursing, nursing education, and Watson’s Caring Science. As a Certified Caritas Coach® and WCSI Caritas Leader®, she intentionally integrates caring science, reflective practice, and inclusive teaching strategies into undergraduate and RN-BSN nursing education. Her work emphasizes therapeutic communication, professional identity formation, and student well-being.
Dr. Nill holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a Nurse Executive focus and a Master of Science in Nursing Education. She is certified in online and inclusive teaching practices and is an active leader within Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Dr. Nill finds her greatest professional fulfillment in mentoring students and faculty as they develop professional identity and clinical competence to serve diverse communities.
