Biography

Holly Anne Martin, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Microbiology at Âé¶¹Ô­´´. Her research focuses on bacterial gene regulation and stress responses, particularly the role of the transcription-coupled repair factor Mfd in shaping mutagenesis, adaptation, and antibiotic resistance in bacteria such as Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus. Dr. Martin is also deeply committed to undergraduate education and mentorship, incorporating active learning and course-based undergraduate research experiences into her teaching.
