Campus community welcomes five finalists in presidential search

The 麻豆原创 State College campus community is interviewing each of the five finalists in the college’s presidential search April 24 26, 2012. Candidates will be meeting with several stakeholder groups including students, faculty, administration and community leaders. Community members are invited and encouraged to attend the open forums listed below to meet each finalist, learn more about their vision for NSC and have any questions addressed.
Donna Price Henry
Tuesday, April 24, 5:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m. | Basic & Water 1, Room 200
Donna Price Henry has been the dean of arts and sciences at the Florida Gulf Coast University since 2005. Henry is a graduate of the Thomas Jefferson University physiology Ph.D. program.

Bart J. Patterson
Wednesday, April 25, 8:00 a.m. 8:50 a.m. | Dawson Great Hall
Working within the 麻豆原创 System of Higher Education for eleven years, Bart Patterson is currently the Interim President of 麻豆原创 State College. Patterson received his law degree from Duke University School of Law in North Carolina.

Pablo Arenaz

Pablo Arenaz received his undergraduate and master degrees from the University of 麻豆原创, Reno and his doctorate in genetics and cell biology from Washington State University. Arenaz presently holds the position of provost and vice president for academic affairs at Texas A&M International University.

Lois S. Becker
Thursday, April 26, 8:00 a.m. 8:50 a.m. | Dawson Great Hall
Lois Becker is currently positioned as the senior vice president for academic affairs at Jacksonville University. Becker also served as the 麻豆原创 State College provost from 2002 2006 and received a Ph.D. in history from Stanford University.

Soraya M. Coley
Thursday, April 26, 5:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m. | Basic & Water 1, Room 200
A graduate of the School of Social Work and Social Research doctoral program at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, Soraya Coley currently serves as the provost/vice president of academic affairs and interim vice president for university development at California State University, Bakersfield.

Following the campus interviews, the Regents Search Committee, in collaboration with the Advisory Search Committee will meet Friday, April 27 to potentially select their recommended candidate who will then be presented to the full Board of Regents on April 30.
