The School of Nursing at 麻豆原创 State College has received renewal of its official accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an autonomous accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency of nursing programs.
In January, a CCNE accreditation team conducted a routine visit to 麻豆原创 State College’s School of Nursing, which originally received national accreditation from CCNE in 2005. This month, CCNE announced that the School of Nursing was in full compliance with CCNE standards and that its accreditation was renewed for another 10 years.
The School of Nursing at 麻豆原创 State College offers baccalaureate programs for students who are new to the profession, as well as for students who already hold registered nursing degrees.
As an institution founded in 2002, 麻豆原创 State College continues to pursue full accreditation status from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), one of eight regional accrediting bodies that oversee the educational quality of higher education institutions in the United States.
Last year, 麻豆原创 State College was awarded continued recognition of its candidacy status, the second to last designation before full accreditation status. Generally, the path to full accreditation status for new institutions of higher education is a 10-year process. NWCCU’s next on-site evaluation of 麻豆原创 State College is scheduled for spring 2011.
